Segull 67 Brugghús, an independent craft brewery based in Siglufjörður, Iceland, known for its small-batch beers inspired by local culture, nature and community.
Brief
I was commissioned to create the label for Segull 67’s seasonal summer ale, Sólstingur (meaning sunstroke in Icelandic). The beer was intended as a playful, lighthearted summer release, something refreshing, with character.
Outcome
The label features hand-drawn Kría’s, a bird well known in Siglufjörður, standing guard as they defend their nests from rivals and intruders.
Anyone who has walked through the Siglufjörður countryside in summer knows this scene, the sudden chaos when someone wanders too close to a Kría nest, triggering an unmistakable aerial defence from above.
